Anyone else had a email asking for a short (20 mins) health and welfare survey for sainsbury's. Plus another survey which takes longer so they say.
Wanting medicine usage ect.

Wanting it for 2019 and 2020.

I haven't done it yet. But my first thoughts is what the hell is red tractor doing, they have our antibiotics usage, health plans ect ect. Surely it can come from them, or am I missing something here...

I got one too,I put some cows to ABP but Sainsbury’s can go jump if thy are wanting an hour of my time at this time of year. Probably just making a rod for my own back by filling it in anyway.
That's kinda what I think.
But what is bugging me is red tractor has got our health plans, emergency plans, training records, drug usage and any drugs in critical category. So why the hell do we need to fill another out.

I wouldnt fill it in, this is what FA membership is for. Firms will start to find any reason to discount the price they pay us now that its at a fairer price. I would have said high price but its about time we realised the prices we are getting now are what they should be on average

Agree. No doubt it's a stick to get the meat cheaper.

Could this be the first of many nails to be driven into Red Tractor's coffin? As OP and others are saying, why are you being asked this duplicated info when RT has already covered it?

I'm a supermarket supplier, but not through ABP. If (and when) I get a survey such as this, I shall talk to them and ask why. I'd be happy to join a supplier scheme, but not in addition to RT when such details are already documented and audited.

Sainsburys hold the chequebook, not RT so let them lead the way away from the tyranny.

I had a little look at it and it was asking same questions as RT. cows put to bull, cows empty, calves born alive ect....

so yeah why bother with RT if This is all Sainsburys need.

As other threads have said RT was supposed to be one inspection for multiple outlets.

In the winter un fortunately came across the rules book when dad first joined years ago with Fabbl. 3 double sided pages. that was the requirements.

As I've said in other threads, I would be quite happy for the whole assurance thing to go full circle and have individual retailer schemes to sign up for. I realise this won't placate those who want a total end to assurance, but it would at least put some competition and choice back in the job. Can't meet the M&S standard? don't worry, ASDA will take your produce with slightly less paperwork.

Not really, Sainsbury's haven't used red tractor for a few years now, they just have their own scheme which is basically the same.

If it was me id tell them they can either pay for the info or I'll just not fill it in

I'm not sure why anyone would expect a 3rd party to share their information with another body. That sounds totally dodgy to me, and could lead to all sorts mishandling of personal and business information.
If they want the information, I'll be the one who decides what they receive, and no one else [emoji106]
