Control of food production and world seed banks

I'm increasingly worried over the large inroads being made out of the public eye by huge corporations.
Therefore, I thought "let's go to the horse's mouth not the...umm...other end."
Just how clued up is the wider farming community over long term plans, already laid out by the likes of the World Economic Forum and Bill Gates. Yes That Bill Gates ? We are not talking about the CAP here, it's much bigger than that !
Behind the headlines these corporations want total control of food production world wide, but "sustainable food."
Bill Gates has aquired "ownership" of the World seed banks and wants to supplant normal seed with ones he deems fit to use, resistant to certain pesticides etc. There won't be "free choice."
I want to try and post 2 links here to let you see for yourself what you are up against.
Every time you wonder "why is the government doing this, it doesn't make sense?" maybe it will if you follow up on these pointers.
I'm in the New Forest area, long been a farming area.

Truly scary stuff and I don't like the direction the whole thing is headed but what can be done about it? If it wasn't Bill Gates it would just be the next guy?

This is the natural progression of mankind's use of science I'm afraid, I'm not optimistic that this direction can/will be reversed, mankind's greed for power and control isn't going to go away. 🤷‍♂️

Nice tinfoil hat you've got there, I see it has lugs for your facemask to wrap round (y)
Funny how TFF members look so different in reality as you imagine them from their text.

Funnily enough when I read your post I heard it in the voice of your MP, the obnoxious and massive 'gunt' that is Ian Blackford.

Sorry, that wasn't meant to be offensive. When I saw Skye by your name the first thing that sprang to mind was his balloon like beetroot gaping maw 😂

No offence taken.

I know Mr Blackford and his wife a little so will decline to comment on your opinion of him. I will say though that although I don't support Lib Dems I voted for Charles Kennedy in the last election he stood for.

I haven't watched the BBC Alba programme about Charles Kennedy yet, I'm told it's a very good tribute.

Don't throw the baby out with the bath water ! Use your god given discretion. Go to the World Economic forum and dig around in it. The amount of data and complexity of it is STAGGERING !!!

Why is it that using capitals and multiple exclamation marks always makes me think that the intellectual argument is a bit thin?

i believe that the OP is quite a few years behind the times. 20 years ago. Monsanto bought several plant breeding and seed companies with the intention of controlling a large portion of the seed supply to agriculture. Cargill has a massive operation that handles and so effectively controls large percentages of the supply of grains, meat, and fruit juices and has done so for years. Other grain traders including ADM, Glencore and Louis Dreyfus deal with most of the remaining grain and Bunge handles the oilseeds. I don't see the name "Bill Gates" anywhere in that list.

I am very worried about how the freedom of the people is being bought by multinational companies, once they control all the seeds, they will only allow seeds that have been patented to be sown so will control everything. I think this is the other side of the "vegan" push, because all vegan food can be patented, where as small farms breeding stock is local and uncontrollable.

Welsh gov have thier sticky fingers firmly in the pie. Signet are working with (taken money from) Welsh gov hence sensible changes such as declaring the Charmoise a maternal breed.
