To Growth reg or not to growth reg ?

Just wondered what people’s thoughts on cutting growth regs for T1. My current recommendation is 0.1 moddus and a litre of 3C. I have some 1/2 decent looking w wheat and w barley. We use all the straw ourselves. With the current cold weather and it not exactly romping away with spring growth I just wondered what other people’s thoughts were?

Has it had Broadway or Pacifica, how much N has it had and how much more will it get. Is it fertile ground.(history of muck) What would be a realistic yield Prediction

I am only putting on CCC, except on the late Sept drilled, where I will add 0.1 Moddus/Tempo. The later drilled stuff probably doesn't even warrant the CCC
I have waited until tomorrow when it is forecast to warm up.
I put Moddus and CCC on the WB last week, I kept the Moddus in as it was still cold.

Mine got a decent pgr. In part due to the n levels applied. Soon it's going to start growing really, really fast.

No Pacifica or Broadway star. WB has had all its N (180kgN )
Wheats have had 140kg N so far
Medium loamy ground that has fYM regularly.

SU graminicides do a good job of PGR by themselves! When it does warm up, there will be lots of lush growth to compensate so I'd stick with what you've got planned. Of course without a photo, variety name or tiller count there's no way of telling how thick it is now.

If you apply chlormequat to barley now, you will need to apply Terpal/Cerone later as the later internodes will be much longer thanks to bounceback.

Nothing here but my late mauled in wheat is seriously retarded anyway. I’d probably be sticking to the normal plan on good crops.

If you think it will yield well and it’s fertile soil I’d up the moddus to .2,

Sticking with 1l/ha Chlormequat and 0.1l/ha Moddus. I remember coming away from cereals two years ago after the monsoon. Acre after acre flat as a pancake.
