Had a few the same at the start of our early lambers in late Jan / early Feb.
Started putting limestone flour in our home mix and not seen any more.

No idea as don’t get it, Bolus if you need minerals in them a drench does next to nothing.
Put some lube in and leave half an hour? Are you going at them too early maybe?

Calcium work really well here, had one that had prolapsed before then wouldn’t open up.

jab calcium as you would a downer ewe in emergency situation. try and get some mag in their diet either in concentrates or blocks ... should help them mobilise their own calcium reserves and improve muscle function.

I’m getting the same. Ewes in good nick, and grazing decent grass, but many just not slackening off. Lambs are properly presented and toes peeping out but no way the ewe will push them out. Leaving for an hour making no difference. Having to just get them lubed and pulled out
60 or 70 ml between the ribs under the skin. Slightly warmed.

It is double now we're on red top (Calciject 5) since they stopped doing blue top (Calciject 6).
I was still on blue top, seemed to do the job at that rate
I was always taught 100ml In 5 different locations weather I was taught right who knows

Comes from our local merchant.
They can't get flour at the moment, so are supplying this.......
........it's little granules.........

Recommended rate 1% (10kg/tonne)
I'm only using half that rate as the protein balancer I'm using has some calcium in it already.
