Bought one last year, 2007 model only 17000 bales, and put 1500 bales of mostly straw and some silage through it. ECU went wrong on it on the side of it, had a new one from Claas £700, otherwise it went OK. Definitely faster than the NH 658 it replaced, but probably a bit more ‘delicate’.
Went it’s going well its great, but if something is wrong it seems tricky to diagnose and difficult to fix. Maybe I just need to get to know the baler better. The NH was pretty simple and easy to fix in comparison and would just keep going until it broke properly.
I don’t regret the change though, the other alternative in my budget I looked at were NH BR balers, but they all had a lot more bales on them

Thanks for that, running a NH BR now and has been very good, apart from a few age related things, but easy to repair your self, just getting long in tooth, so considering a change, as you do.

Yes that was an option, my friendly NH service chap said they weren't so impressed with the Yellow ones, a lot lighter build, but basically the same baler?

Will need to double the budget though to get one of those
