T1 Fungicide advice please

Hi all. Have been sent Skyway (very expensive) by my agronomist to apply as a T1 alongside Toledo, which I already have in stock. Wheat variety is Costello which I believe is very tolerant against rust- is there any advantage to applying the Toledo AND Skyway or can some more experienced arable chaps than myself tell me what I want to hear and that’s that they would send the Skyway back and just apply the Toledo
Sincerely, full-time sheep farmer. Thanks

Obviously the op posted this before the 20th of may last year but he just has a very very slow upload speed🤔

Skyway is essentially aviator plus teb, which would enhance its rust activity a bit but I believe it's a distributor exclusive (hutch????) So I would guess commands a premium over aviator plus a splash of Toledo.

If you were allowed to use a multi-site fungicide like Bravo it would work well against septoria if you have any or want cheap insurance- Teb mix for rust - never grown Costello so can't say but would think might get away with a cheaper option if no rust visible, but I'm not an agronomist!

Many will answer your question with 'sack your agronomist' however you use who you do for whatever reasons. Generally there is little disease about that's not to say a good protectant fungicide isn't good insurance. Yellow rust can be extremely yield robbing. "Two Zero"🤫 wouldn't do much for rust if its present. From previous experience I've just asked the agronomist why he's recommending certain products, are they justifiable and what alternatives are there. Rust spray for me this year has been Teb + Amistar.

Always worth getting your agronomist to check your pesticide store each winter so you don't end up with materials that is is illegal to hold. Money well spent IMHO.

Hi all. Thank you for your words of wisdom, it is greatly appreciated. So to be clear, the reason for applying Skyway is solely as a protectant against yellow rust?
