vaccinating and rain

ok...i admit it...i'm a 'nonce' but i've a question :rolleyes:

ewes didn't get hep'd so i've been pretty sharp vaccinating lambs in batches at 3 weeks...until now:banghead:...been held up....got 100 at 4 weeks for first dose and 50 for second.....now i don't like to vaccinate before a weather 'stress' event so tom afternoon looks wet and saturday grim.....should i wait til sunday or crack on?

i appreciate you big lads probably have to crack on regardless:)

Don’t do them wet, whatever your calendar says!

I remember being halfway through jabbing a bunch of 250 ewes & their lambs in late May one year, when a thunderstorm hit. Sheep (and me) were obviously drenched, but I figured I had started the mob so I needed to finish, so carried on after the storm had passed.
I must of had 50% of those lambs develop abscesses at the injection site, something I’d never seen before or since.

I don’t ever jab wet sheep now, delaying by a week is neither here nor there.
