I think he was meaning that being religious and having political career aren't particularly compatible because one promotes honesty and the other pretty much demands dishonesty.So what you are saying is that secularism trumps religion. I must leave my beliefs and my God out of politics, but no one else must? The secularists, humanists, bunny huggers, etc, can pedlar their fruitcake nonsense in politics, but no one else?
What you are saying is, you don't share my religious views, so I am not entitled to have them.
What happened to civil and religious liberty?
