Saw a snapchat a few weeks ago where the farmer had lost the front furrow so just ploughed without it. contractor was having fits as he was there to power harrow and drill maize.Really?

that Maize would be just as well still in the bag because temps aren't warm enough for it proper yet, and the wet is compacting in that that is already drilled ,not good for it is too much rain.
he could easily have left it until the plough was fixed and ph and drilled after the deluge and when its warmed up, .
Its the big P that's missing as much as anything in the modern day Patience, that and a bit of nous.
I'm not sure you can learn this stuff tho, i have a feeling that its more in the blood ,but i might be wrong of course.
