So basically everyone’s posting their “using it up mix” as if it’s a standard spring weed control mix
Not done any spring barley yet but last years “Moss mix” was -An excellent mix if you have a wide range of BLW’s, I’d call it “The Moss mix”
Fat henWhat’s the 0.4l of compitox plus for?
Yes, but that is actually sensible rates. It’s pretty much half rate of each.I’ve never tried it but someone on here swore by 15g ally, 0.5starane and 0.5mcpa for small weeds
Half rates of su’s can be riskyYes, but that is actually sensible rates. It’s pretty much half rate of each.
Even if they're mixed with Chems that have a different mode of action????Half rates of su’s can be risky
Yes but hormones won’t kill the full spectrumEven if they're mixed with Chems that have a different mode of action????
Good pointYes but hormones won’t kill the full spectrum
They are such good products and relatively cheap it’s not worth the risk in my opinion, especially with bigger weeds.Good point
I am finding it hard to figure why people are chucking Pixarro with an su, wouldn’t you use it stand alone for poppy, chickweed.Presite sx

It useful for su resistant weeds like poppy but never found it much good on polygonums. Su, hormone is my choice, only cleavers would get through that.Just do as I am told seams a lot to me as well
To avoid resistance in poppies and chickweed perhaps or to control poppys and chickweed already resistant to su???I am finding it hard to figure why people are chucking Pixarro with an su, wouldn’t you use it stand alone for poppy, chickweed.
Yep, I know there was quite a bit in Scotland because they had used su’s forever on mainly spring barley year after year.To avoid resistance in poppies and chickweed perhaps or to control poppys and chickweed already resistant to su???
Would pendimethelin pre-Em be an optionIt scares me that some people use just a SU on its own year after year also I'm finding I'm having to use more ally/hiatus type SUs in all cereals to tidy up BLWs. In the olden days when I could use ipu/ctu that did for all BLW and the only crop that got an SU was spring barley one in 3 or 4 year in the rotation.
Has anyone got any ideas on a broad spectrum BLW spray for spring barley that avoids SU so rape can be established without worrying about residues.
