question.
If crop is clean at T2, and a robust T3 is planned. can T2 be reduced? duration of green leaf surely influenced more by last fungicide application than the penultimate one?

Only if the flag leaf is protected up to the point of T3. Septoria, for example, is so slow to develop a leaf can look clean but it may already be too late to stop lesions forming.

and which product at T2 would stop lesions forming if spores already there?, not much curative activity from any SDHI or azole IIRC. In a septoria resistant Crusoe, what is an expensive SDHI going to add over and above Arizona/Teb ?? AHDB showed equivalent septoria protection from Arizona as Imtrex or Proline and we all know Teb controls rust. Bear in mind another Proline/Teb in 3 weeks time.

I doubt any of us are in a protectant situation on flag leaf now and we definitely won't be on leaf 2. The SDHI's still give a bit of "kick-back", Revystar and other new one (which I can't remember the name of) have more kick back.

Revystar and inatreq both give kick back(if you believe the sales gumph) something we haven't had in chemistry for probably 10 years.

With the amount and frequency of rain we have been having this would have been a good year for a T1.5 of CTL. Only had two days in May with no recorded rainfall. Absolutely chucking it down again today and monthly total now well over 200mm. T2 not yet on, going to be needing some kickback from the Revystar. ☹️

now had 100 mm in may
considering higher rates of revistar in the past we always had ctl to help us out after the flag leaf had emerged
the saving grace is the very low disease levels up to leaf 3 emergance but because of slow growth i suspect we need every inch of the lower leaves to contribute to yield

the theory is based on normal weather and normal temperatures

What rates are you thinking of now (on which varieties)?

1lt Revystar on most.
1lt aviator plus 0.5 ceratavo plus on a bit.

All will be getting 5kg of nutrel kman plus. One bit will get the snake oil trial. Little bit of blw spray. And a few white canes to mark the bits to rogue.

If my wheat crops last year looked like they do now I would probably go 1litre Ascra plus 1litre CTL, but if I could see disease then I would replace the Ascra for revystar.
Unfortunately this is all academic as I only grew 30 acres of wheat last year.
It would be interesting to know what other people would have done on their 2020 crops if they looked like these?

Is there really that much disease about????
That's a big whack!!?

I wanted the gear in the shed. Three more days of cold and wet. Then three days until I can get on without messy tramlines. Can always drop it down. But the investment has been made in rent, fert, sprays, etc, so what can you do? Unlikely to be limited by moisture lack now. Under budget on herbicides, zero insecticides, maybe a touch up on foliar and pgrs. There's no folpet in either.

This weather is so sh!t I've already has messages reminding me of 2012.

This is the big question crops look clean but how much latent disease is there?
I’ve been around my crops this morning, and apart from the field of late wheat after spuds (which will get Ascra) everything else is now getting 1 l/ha Revystar when I can travel.
Crops look clean at the moment, but their will be an explosion of disease soon.
