@Al R missed quoting you. Never had to fill anything in for any medicine's or anything. But we have account so suppose they have a record of all details. Bought some chemical off agri gem over phone obviously had my address for delivery but that is all

I know of a few spraying 100+ acres with those 800 litre cheap galvanised sprayers with no on/off as there to far away from a modern tractor so just leave it on and keep driving, no induction hoppers etc either, no licenses and no idea on how much they use just a “half bottle of this and that” was what they said they used 🤦🏻‍♂️
We used to have a similar sprayer but u just turned pto off then back on when u wanted spraying again wasn’t much need for using handle on machine apart from when filling out it in agitation

Puzzled with your comment....
Why did you not simply do a proper PA 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 course instead of a pretty poor, IMO, substitute? Then there is no issue with insurance or application or simply doing the right thing. Seems like the chemical sellers need a kick up the arse. Yes I can buy a loada stuff using my holding number but I did a heap of PA's a while ago. It was fun and informative and I'm a better spray applicator for the course.
I'm using my quals again for insect infestations so they are a useful tool in the box.

Just because someone was spraying on grandfather rights, doesn’t mean they are an unprofessional sprayer. It means they were very experienced 😂
I was on GF rights, then had to do a city and guilds upgrade which a 5 yr old could’ve passed. I do have to be in NRoSo though, mores the pity, to obtain points for RedTractor assurance.

I was going to ask is it the same strength in garden centres
The top is Roundup Power Max - Farming grade roundup. (720g/l of glyphosate)

The next is “Garden Centre Roundup” which has a concentration of 7.2g/l of Glyphosate.
its 100th of the strength.

Has anyone ever heard of someone being fined / prosecuted for non PA 1/2 or no MOT on sprayer .
No but I’ve been kicked off the NRoSO scheme quite a few times for not having enough points, got to have a year “off” then can re register, all the meetings were on the east coast and always on the best spray days of the week🤦🏻‍♂️ I remember driving to Hereford once, 15 hour day for 3 CPD points 😭

no longer spraying let alone full time now so doesn’t matter

If their claiming subsidy then boxes to tick.
Farm assurance then more boxes and paper trails.
HSE inspections more paper trails
Mandatory rules ,regs and records.

Yes true, but I’m pretty sure you can’t buy neat concentrate in garden centres etc.. Unsure if people are aware but neat concentrate is stored in bunded pesticide lockers/containers/sheds etc..

You can get it on eBay though.
