Once it is loaded onto a transport it will make little difference if it is hauled 20 miles. Is the plant run on food waste or crops? You do realise that if there is nothing going off site then there is nothing going into the digester, maybe you should be paying farmers to take your digestate?
Send the hauliers this way that will cart it 20 miles for me with only a “little” price increase over carting it 1 mile 🤞🏻
Plant runs on 60% fym from a beef finishing unit on site and is supplemented with maize and rye 👍🏻 I don’t have any issues with getting it off site. Local farmers and ourselves will quite happily use all of it. But I already bale all of their straw regardless of solid digestate. So this post was hopefully going to connect us with farmers who we don’t currently have a working relationship with, which it has but thank you for your concerns 🚜💨
