You have failed to grasp the concept that just because you do something for one, does not mean you have to do something for all. Hell. You dont even have to embark on a deal with the US if there is NO benefit at all to the UK economy.

You have not grasped the concept of the Johnson government.
They will sign any agreement to “prove” that Brexit works regardless if it shafts U.K. agriculture or not.

Yes. They may. And then again they may not. That's on your NFU to have a stronger voice in lobbying in the future. Dont forget, Australia is probably one of the only countries that you trade with that has zero tarrifs coming inbound. Meaning , if you do a deal with the US and they want free access to your beef for argument sake, then reciprocal rights should be bargained. What could we have offered? To pay your freight perhaps??
As I said before, I am glad for a deal with Aus, better than the vindictive ones

you seem not to have noticed this little headline
EU on notice as Truss announces huge beef trade cuts from bloc to Brexit Britain
LIZ TRUSS said beef imports from the EU to the UK will be cut from 230,000 tonnes this year to 35,000 tonnes in 2022.

Like I thought, ozzy beef of better eating quality will replace the Irish bulk buy carp you see in tescos.......

UK exports 100k tons of beef to the EU. Most goes to ROI and Netherlands. ROI farmers will now grab that share.
Then theres the ROI farmers building up their ewe flocks to take a large slice of the sheep meat share which UK will lose.
Overall ROI beef/sheep meat exports probably won’t be effected.
Then there’s the leaky border with the fourth green field, over which we will continue to send beef to UK.
Have a nice Brexit.
