Is it still cheaper when you take out the water though? Have too get DM the same before comparing prices really
That is what i meant, if you compare both on a 100%DM basis they are. How consistent is the dry matter is the thing to consider. For example Trafford Gold can be vary variable because it is 2 part syrup and 1 part wheatfeed. If a load of syrup is wetter than an other the blend will be much wetter and not at the stated 50%DM, if the load is dry it will be over 50%DM and then you are quids in. With the Duynie Moist mixes i believe they have nearly a dozen ingredients so the DM% variability is much more stable, so if 1 moist product is wetter than it should be it doesn't have a massive impact on the total DM% of the product you get on farm.
