what do you put down the spout with sb if its had muck? just straight N?Please tell me you have done soil tests tho? so only apply what the parcels of land need in every field
thats the modern way now, efficiency so i keep hearing
No Animals or Grass in my Arable Rotation
i do however bring in cattle muck.
No Bagged P&K gets applied the land that year

Nowt down any spouts here, not since 1990 when the massey drill did its last season
All Fert is broadcast on
The small amout of SB that had sum muck had a tickle of Nitrogen & Sulpher the day after it was sown & also TSP was applied on previous stubbles vari rate
but the switch to a little muck on one of them wasnt planned at the time.
No Bagged MOP tho.

Is it a Scottish thing, putting fertiliser down the spout. We’ve never done it here and wouldn’t have the drill to do it.
