L200 dumping the coolent from the reservoir

As above , vehicle wil go all day no problem, but soon as I put the livestock trailer on and go 20 miles, the water temperature goes up and forces out of the coolant reservoir over flow , hot ,but not mega hot. Thinking the coolent is getting pressurised some how, blown cylinder head gasket perhaps ??? no water in the oil . Truck is 07 112000 miles so not hugely valuable in terms of doing expensive repairs. Would appreciate any thoughts comments or suggestions.
TIA.

I assume diesel? IIRC those early engines had problems with heads going porous.

If truck is ok without trailer does not suggest head gasket problem to me but I could be wrong... it is my opinion that faulty head gasket is caused by something like restricted air flow through radiator or restricted coolant flow. Some years ago when I had a Mazda B2500 which was getting hot was temporary cured on the road by turning heater on full blast and the thermostat was faulty

there is a slight difference between overheating and blowing out the water, as opposed to blowing out the water and then overheating, if it has had the coolant changed in a hard water area the sulphur in the water blocks the rad tubes, if it was head gasket it would do it all of the time, if it has a viscous fan make sure this is working correctly, it has a bi-metal strip or coil in the middle and this has to be free to either move the pin in and out or if it has a coil it has to be able to turn the centre pin, they have a habit of seizing so when you need them they don't work, you can hear the fans cut in, blocked rad is a possibility

£350 will get your a brand new built up head then you will also need head gasket and head gasket set plus belts might as well put a new waterpump on as well and thermostat . and around 8 hours labour .

It was a 56 registered 07 with 142000 miles, it ran well but all five tyres shot, overdue a belt change, rot on the tailgate and arches, rear canopy lock knackered sliding window in canopy shattered, and only one key
