Not yet 😔 bulling again today, had the vet check her and all normal so given her a holding injection, I'll serve her tonight and then inject her again in 11 days time and crossing fingers and toes🤞🤞🤞
last chance ?

We have a smaller problem yet bigger.
Need to replace galvanised water pipe with 50mm poly. B road with medium pressure gas main in middle of road.
Suggestions, helpful only please!
they are laying cable near here, they have a remote sensor mole 'thing', will put a cable, at correct depth, 150 metres before coming up for air ! There are smaller ones around, to hire, as long as you know approx depth of gas main, go under/over it. Think gas people will come out and 'locate', depth etc.

It depends if she holds or not 😂

Limo this year, if she gets in calf she will go to dairy next year.

We are fairly sure she did get in-calf last year but aborted over the autumn/winter so not really her fault which is why she's being given a second chance this year.

The reason shes now struggling to get in-calf is because she far too fat not because shes infertile
Please don't tell us your putting her back to dairy?
He’s flushing her!
My fear, expect her offspring will be top of the genus ranking for fertility in a few years time!

l know she's a pet, and an excellent cow, but her fertility, is somewhat doubtful, so would question if it was wise to breed from her. Like many who block calve, it's a dairy straw, first service, thereafter beef, and it is beginning to show it's value, in our home bred cows. We bought a bunch of cows, somewhat lacking in the record keeping, just had 3 calve, full term, at 7 months gestation, according to bcms ! Surprisingly, conception rate in those mainly hols, is not very different, to our fr/others, in the autumn calvers. However, what actually happens, to that bought bunch, for the autumn calvers, it's down to the vets skill, at pd-ing. Spring block, fertility is looking good, so far.

Best thing I’ve read in a long time
She’s been served a dozen times but she’s not infertile 😃😃

High health feb calvers in Holsworthy for sub 900 in milk Young cows..... big Bertha worth 1200 to kill.
sale wednesday, there definitely looked some cattle worth the money, nearly tempted, but done a deal elsewhere for a lorry load, perhaps the heat has gone out of the trade, for mid lac cows. Don't think there was to much wrong with the prices fresh calvers were making though, some nice cows £2,000+. Be interesting to see what tomorrows dispersal will do, they certainly come from a very awkward farm.
