Morrisons takeover a concern?

As another UK company looks likely to be sold to dubious private foreign investors/asset strippers, should the government take action to stop it. Or will it suffer the same fate as as one of the UK's flagship defence companies Cobham, which has been asset stripped and moved to the USA within 18 months, despite government assurances that this wouldn't happen.

I am pretty much gutted, had shares since they went in to buy Safeway, in the hopes they would fail and take the proper Morrison's ethos into the South of the country.
Sad times :(

When they sell you a 'Hunter's Chicken meal' which apparently serves 4 and includes 95% potato and some sauce and very little chicken, they deserve to fail. Bye.

Heard today from a very reliable source that Morrisons stopped paying some very large bills (transport related) in January. The debtor thinks this is just to make the balance sheet look better.
