It’s so difficult to know what to do though isn’t it? If we don’t free up the “hospitality” industry there won’t be one left soon. Yet it seems dangerous and unjust to expose those who haven’t yet had the vaccine to rampant covid.
I wouldn’t haven’t removed the last of the restrictions until every adult that wants it had been vaccinated twice. But others have different priorities wanting booze ups, sport and foreign holidays. It will come at the cost of lives lost, but to some extent it does with or without covid, in terms of increased road accidents etc.

We are not told how many of those in hospital have not been vaccinated, what their age gender and ethnicity is or if they are in hospital because of covid or they have another condition or injury and subsequent testing has shown them to be covid +the. There is a significant difference.
Also what is the betting that the current surge in track and trace notifications through the NHS app is due to a glitch in the software or the system has been hacked to cause mischief ?

Have to agree with Ashdieback. The past 4 months folks could go on holibobs ( albeit UK ), go to pubs ( albeit not stand at the bar ). Folks have never been denied exercise, food and water. " Yoof " could communicate with each other via social media ( which they could not during WW2 ) What was wrong with the 6 per household limit ? what was wrong with the limit of nearest and dearest at weddings and funerals ? Some just can't wait to create a third wave. One mask per 10,000 at Wembley and Wimbledon. Don't get it. Vaccination doesn't seem to be the silver bullet folks thought it was going to be. The only tried and tested remedy is self isolation.

That's not a remedy though, just prolonged agony.

Pray tell... what is the plan for that font of righteousness,, thr ROI?

You don’t agree with the scientific assessment then?

ROI is also opening up. No such thing though as central government loosening up restrictions regarding basic protections such as masks, social distancing, table service only indoors, strict controls on numbers, vaccination status to be scanned at points of entry, etc, etc.
So relieved we don’t get to be run by and experimented on, by the Bullingdon Boys Sorority Society, or it’s equivalent thereof.
It’s a data and scientific approach….

Considering the NHS tech bods took about 20 years to get their revolutionary new computer system to work by which time is what out of date, I wouldn't have too much faith and it will not be on my phone.

Not too worried what anyone believes but several members of our staff after getting both jabs quite some time ago are still going down with new cases of this b----- virus often being caught from their kids, in case you are wondering no they are not pretending, the poor devils tell me it's like a pretty rough case of the flu this time.
Makes you wonder if the vaccine is still working?

If it's keeping them out of hospital, it's working (y)
