Covid virus going forward

Do you care if you get a cold ? If the vaccine makes covid no worse than a cold then it makes no odds how many catch it. I know these days no one is meant to die but strangely they do 650 000 every year that's 1800 a day yet we are now destroying the economy over 40 a day many of whom would have died anyway, it's hard for those who have lost people but its life.

Be interesting to see how Wales fares still under some restrictions versus England heading for a free for all.
But Wales will be full of English adhering to the English free for all. But on a brighter note, Denmark will let the Welsh in for holidays, but not the English. So that's your holiday sorted. :D

The object of the vaccine is to reduce the level of illness by giving the body a head start on fighting the virus, the reason colds dont kill many people is the fact our bodies have had them before, however give a cold to somebody with say leukaemia or having chemo or aids etc and it certainly can kill.
If you look at the figures most countries have rising numbers again, it's not cases that matters but hospital admissions and deaths FROM covid not with it.

I don't know if you can still pass it to others or not. I read some research that reckoned vaccinated people were far less likely to transmit the virus but that was a few months ago now.
Because they didn't think they would get the virus, but symptomatic people with a virus can surely always pass it on!

lots of the general population are still terrified of it, the Starcross ferry which runs across the Exe Estuary has has said that ALL passangers must wear a mask, No exceptions for medical issues, only kids age 5 and under not required to wear them despite primary school children being exempted by practically everyone else for the past year, yet they seem to be getting overwhelming support on Facebook.

Masks spread unnecessary fear.
They also spread the virus by encouraging the symptomatic to go out
They also prevent normal social interaction.
