Cars overtaking while waiting to turn right

Why do continually overtake tractors indicating right and waiting to turn off.

Today with a 200hp tractor and 3000 gallon tank on the back had to stop and wait for 5 cars to overtake me before I could turn right into field.

Next run I was stopped waiting for on coming traffic to clear so I could turn right and the car behind cut out immediately to try and pass but I had already started pulling across his lane so he had to wait.

The other day and artic lorry did the exact same thing just as I was about to go right into a side road with the same outfit. I thought being a lorry they would show more sense.

2 led indicators on the back which are as plain as day and working so not like they can say they never knew what I was planning.

Is it illegal to overtake someone indicating and waiting to turn right?

Rule 167:

"DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users. For example

when a road user is indicating right, even if you believe the signal should have been cancelled. Do not take a risk; wait for the signal to be cancelled"

Although whether that counts as 'law', I don't know.
same thing happened to me many years ago, car at the back of line decided to overtake as I was turning into the field, missed me, but rolled it on the verge. Insurance company tried to say it was my fault, until the farm manager said the car driver had been drinking (sunday afternoon)

Ought to be …
I have this particular issue on the A1088 as @Exfarmer will know going from Baileypool to Woolpit Rd

I've even had van drivers stop behind me whilst I indicate right, wait for oncoming cars to pass and then giving e the V-sign and still overtaking from a standing start ! Some overtake at warp speed 10 so maybe they don't see my bright modern indicators , some just play chicken to get past before I turn. Happens once a week?

Police traffic sergeant advised me not to stop and wait, just carry on. Said if they were in the area, they'd wait on the concrete pad where they could observe and do anyone overtaking near the junction

Many more junctions need turning lanes marking on the roads, with ever increasing amount of traffic.

But definitely very unwise. Wouldn't fancy taking on a tractor at right angles in the family motor.
Its the rural equivalent of cyclists undertaking on the left in town..

Sort of... bicycle lanes at junctions are normally painted on the left hand side of the road after all. But the actual action of attempting to filter/undertake a left turning vehicle isn't allowed (or likely to end well for the person on the bicycle). A bicycle is allowed to filter/undertake if the traffic is moving slowly enough.
