Semi hysterical call from our importer in the UK yesterday.
‘Where’s the beans?’ Well i didn’t plant as many as it’s the UK season and last year you didn’t take what you programmed and you said you could get them cheaper from Egypt, Senegal and Spain i say. ‘ But the we need them it’s been too cold here and now it’s too hot’ Sorry I say i planted wheat instead we should have some beans in autumn.

Yes french beans though in your area they will be for processing rather than freshmarket i’d reckon.

Yes we saw them harvesting around Ely once with two Ploeger harvesters. I still can’t convince my wife to let me get one.
