Just the one load, your not aiming very highThey wont let you buy a decker load on tick, and pay them back in May?
They get some good sheep in there but also not so good ones that have been tarted up. It used to be good when they sold the lot in one day, it was a hell of a sight to see 27k sheep penned up.thought it was soon , bit of a trek for us , always seems a hot trade though , wonder if clarkson will be after some replacements lol
I’m sure I could scrape the money together for March / April at the latest if the lambs were rightThey wont let you buy a decker load on tick, and pay them back in May?
To save the confusion, you should just carry on up to Dingwall, only one mart there, good sale planned for the 19thSo is one dominant over the other, do they specialise in different classes of stock.
Was planning on having a ride up to Sterling at some point, which one sells the most store lambs ?
You won't find Sterling on a map but Stirling is a bit north-west of EdinburghSo is one dominant over the other, do they specialise in different classes of stock.

yea used to be nearly 30.000 at wilton in the 80s , hell of a sale , lucky to get half that nowThey get some good sheep in there but also not so good ones that have been tarted up. It used to be good when they sold the lot in one day, it was a hell of a sight to see 27k sheep penned up.
ApparentlyPay on the nail for the first one, have the next 4 on tick and pay them just before you start again in August. That’s how it’s done isn’t it?
Grandad reckoned the Alston Moor sale at Lazonby was phenomenal in the pre F&M days 30-32 000 in one day. Latest he ever bought in there was 1.45am the Thursday morning. Then loaded up and set off the 4 hour ride home!yea used to be nearly 30.000 at wilton in the 80s , hell of a sale , lucky to get half that now
It’s a long ride up the A9…To save the confusion, you should just carry on up to Dingwall, only one mart there, good sale planned for the 19th

Then didn't they start again the next day with 10-12000 mule wethers? I remember the first time I went there with father there was no small lots allowed the lambs ran once around the ring and out, each lot was only sold for 15-20 seconds the sheep were gone and next lot in while last lot were still being sold a bit of an educationThen didn't they start again the next day with 10-12000 mule wethers? And i remember trade not being sa flash when a pen of 25 lambs would come in and GT the auctioneer would say 'pounds for numbers'I remember the first time I went there with father there was no small lots allowed the lambs ran once around the ring and out, each lot was only sold for 15-20 seconds the sheep were gone and next lot in while last lot were still being sold a bit of an education
