what is the best wellies that are both comfortable and will last.

I always had Hunter Wellies and loved them but they cost a fortune and didn’t last particular well so went onto Hoggs (fieldman I think they were called). Had two pairs of those but they were worse than ever. So last time I went in and bought the cheapest pair I could find and some of those welly socks and they are awesome!! Make your wellies more comfortable and fit well. Wifey has worn them for years and I wish I had started when she did. I’d have saved a fortune!!

Got a pair of Aigles that have lasted me 16 years now. Might be a fluke but am impressed.
I would, without hesitation, have recommended Seals as I spend my life in welllies. But they seem to have gone from the U.K.
Generally, the more you pay, the better the product. £150 gets you Le Chameau, £100 something like Skellerup or Dunlop Purfoot, £80 Hoggs, £40 trenchfoot

I would have recommended Dunlop purafoot.
But after the seam giving way in warranty and them saying that it was the splashing of the diluted dairy chemicals once a day that caused it I can't anymore.

I am in my 50's from Ireland and one of a very few who wears the wellies with the tops turned down 2". They are gone out of fashion since the early 80's and rare nowadays, but I still Like to wear them in 2021. I bought a brand new pair of Dunlop Purofort in August and wear them turned down working on my brothers farm.

Wow, I had the same problem with a new pair of Dunlop Purafoot wellies this August, first morning out my left sock was damp, I then used them a couple of more times, and the same thing was happening... so I took them back, and the store and they wouldn't replace them immediately, they said they would have to send them back! I went back a week later and they said another customer had the same problem with their boots, and gave me a new pair, when I got home and put them on, I found a flaw in a a seem on the New ones! so they are going back....

Dunlop purofort are rubbish I've sent more pairs back than enough which is unfortunate as I find them very comfortable and light to wear. They always split up the heel which is a very obvious design fault.
Need to buy them of amazon and return as faulty every 3 months.

Jesus! They ought to be in the Aigle museum - not on your feet! I would frame them
My Aigles, used for wet walking (pasture) last a year tops before they 'micro-crack' where the sole flexes. Still comfortable though - never drive in them to avoid stressing them
Dry work: Redback USBOK steel caps or Dickies 'Crawford'
Yard wellies (muck) - Muckboot 'Humber' steel toecaps
'Comfortable wellies that last' is an oxymoron...

Bekina thermolite are the best I have had but they might have stopped making them now. Usually about three years before they gave up other than this pair that lasted 24hrs when one of the dogs took a fancy

Sadly ( and I do mean very sadly) I cut the tops off some old ones and siliconed over the top until I got another pair delivered.
