Only just come across this very useful thread.
I am on max dose of Tamsulosin and Finasstride Tablets. After urine flow test last Thursday , the urologist said urine flow low and bladder not fully emptying. Asked me if I want to carry on as is or have prostrate operation, said I will carry on as is and he will give a call in 6mths time. Side effects of operation , less ejaculate at orgasm, but a I have that problem now from the side effects of Tamsulosin and Finastride tablets.
Will give some of the remedies a try that you guys have suggested.
A problem shared , is a problem solved.
Pomegranate juice and zinc tablets. In the Manflu thread a convert has agreed big time. Long story short Danish ag and health better than ours. 10 guys into hospital their batch got Tamoxifen (standard anti cancer drug 50p/day) plus pom juice. 4 Tumour reduced could hardly see it on the scan, 4 Tumour reduced went home, 2 died!!! Bear in mind those ten guys went to hospital to die! I drink Pomegranate juice every morning out of the fridge. Goes all the way to the seat of the action. Careful on the Zinc pills. When you take too much you think in bed you have bed lice.Only just come across this very useful thread.

These theories confirmed at Groundswell a couple of years ago. Every 50 year old in US killed in car crash analysed prostate. 70% had at least a trace of cancer. 30% healthiest had higher Zinc levels. Make your own conclusions! I have made mine bearing in mind 85% of men when they die have prostate cancer, maybe just not that kills them!!!
Ten guys went to hospital to die, 8 went home 2 died. 80% success rate in my book. They have told me (at 8
If you are happy to live with a 40% chance of recovery from a very small sample taking medication every day when the condition can be relieved (for ten years so far in my case) with a couple of days in hospital, that's the way to go. It's a no brainer as far as I am concerned but I am pleased it works for you.

That work came from Denmark, same genetics as us, same climate same diet. It's your choice.

I have always regarded Ag research work from that area of Europe as streets ahead of us and also regard their human health work very highly. All they did was mix a standard anti cancer drug regime with Pomegranate juice. It worked.
Apparently in some areas of Oz any man over 40 who goes to doctor with a urinary problem the prescription is a mix of Pomegranate, Blackberry, Raspberry and Blueberry juice. All on the same lines, dark berries.
Oz Groundswell contributor who drinks Pom juice every day quoted that every 50 year old in US killed in car crash had prostate analysed. 70% had at least a trace of prostate cancer. 30% healthiest had highest levels of zinc.
I prefer the alternatives to the drug route but can assure you if I had a problem would go down your route as well. This costs very little and as above quote it works for at least some and other than over dosing Zinc which is uncomfortable can't really do any harm.
The op cost me nothing in Scotland although my op was done at King's College Hospital, London, the NHS paid for it. The NHS were also prepared to pay the cost of the surgical operation being done in Prague (being in the EU) by a personal friend of mine who is a consultant urologist, but he was recommending total removal of the prostate as at that time Green Light was virtually unknown in the UK. That was before I read about Green Light on a primarily US newsgroup. I don't get commission on sales and couldn't care less what others do! My research satisfied me and I made sure I got what I considered to be the best option, to the disgust of my local urologist, I might add! A factor that helped me make up my mind was that he had apparently had a few fatalities doing the traditional TURPS! I am merely relating my experiences, others will make up their own minds.
Interesting that you didn't trust your NHS doctor. Neither do I. I regard them as human mechanics. If when sorting a problem with your car you don't like the theory and or the price go to a different garage. That seems to pee off doctors by the way. There is always more than one way to skin the same cat and I find these discussions excellent. The op cost me nothing in Scotland although my op was done at King's College Hospital, London, the NHS paid for it. It all sounds very interesting; did you have to have a tempory catheter fitted and if so for how long ......... talking time now?
The trouble is bladder not fully emptying causes bladder stones and in my case was caused by a high bladder neck which I had adjusted so no more tamsulosin.Only just come across this very useful thread.

Personally I drink about a quarter of a pint every morning straight from the fridge. I also twice a week have a Cranberry tablet (friend swears by them) and once a week a zinc tablet. How much Pomegranate juice do you drink per day, as giving it a try .Many Thanks
Friend of mine started drinking Pom juice from Asda I supplied and said for the rest of the day he was pissin like a racehorse.
He was delivering his Defender about 20 miles away and had to stop twice. Not on the run, I hope!

He has never heard about clothes conditioner. That's why its called Comfort, 2 litre bottle with a large neck that you can seal shut so it doesn't spill.
Sometimes the simplest ideas are pretty good value.Ah Ha; never thought about a Comfort bottle but do carry one of those bottles designed for the disabled but the cap on it isn't as secure as the one on a Comfort bottle.
Nice heads up!
