I feed myself but I work by myself.
12v road pro oven, plugs in the cigarette lighter, I then don’t need to be brought food and I can eat when it’s convenient

Try and feed people in the evenings in harvest but are a man down due to injury (not farming related) so the usual food fetcher is stuck on a tractor (me). Local pub does amazing pizzas but very expensive, I’ve said only once a week for them otherwise it would cost me a grand a week!

Does your wife not cook , and ,slow cooker marvelous things ,

No one goes hungry at our house. We eat well. My Mrs won’t buy shite cause it’s cheap. Everyone has a brew and offered cake or whatever they want. We like feeding and watering/beering folk 😂
Skint ,have you noticed its more the livestock men more traditional farms that feed folk , not many of the barley barons , saying owt ,

We no longer feed harvest staff. That’s cos wifey is on corn cart and we haven’t found an oven that will fit in her cab yet!

I feed myself but I work by myself.

@Drillman problem solved you can have your cook back and keep your corn carter

As a Kid when Friends farm was at the silage... The Old boy contractor would be at it with the Same Tiger and Drag Chopper and there would be a fleet of smallish Internationals on the single axle trailers. We'd Pile in the back of the L200 with Tea and run over and have a feast of Barms Cake and Pop.

It's rare now but Anyone working for me doing whatever job will have the same as me at whatever time.

We ask the shearers to fetch there bait with them but always cook them a tidy hot meal @ 1.30ish.... The same guys usually come to casually help at dipping, scanning etc & we will always feed them. In my opinion it's a good old fashioned farming tradition that must be upheld, I think it's bloody odd & slightly rude if you didn't feed them..... But that's jus me.......!

I worked for a guy 20 years ago, always got fed at night, and I thought is was good, but mate that was wid me was a bit fussy, yeess yeess aye, he could eat a family size steak pie quicker than anyone,

In last 10 or so years, rule is, if not fed by 8pm, I throw down and go home,
Also if you want me to eat on the move your having a giraffe

Any fudger who don’t make damn sure to feed or offer to feed folks who come on the farm for silaging and such, should have all his gate posts “rearranged”!
My boss indoors would lay me flat out if I didn’t bring them in for grub. Outdoors these covid times, but nevertheless they get fed.
