So.......
One of this years vet student who applied through here is a vegan.
Took a week to get it out of her as she didn't want us to judge, not a militant type just how it is. No biggy.

But......
Her views on climate change are that animal agriculture is all to blame and should be stopped straight away.
That poses the question, what's she doing becoming a vet?

Shes happy to feed her dog minced calves!

It is going to make for a frosty 2nd wk.
If I don't log on for a while I'm probably in jail for stomach tubing a calf.

She has said that she is delighted that we look after and care for our animals!

Interesting and not 100% comfortable
After out experience with vegan vet students, won't have another, was nice enough here, but the sh!t she wrote on FB, is qualified now and is working for vegan charity trying to ban livestock farming😕, had 4 vet students this year all were a pleasure to have and none will be large animal vets ,life to short to help people who are out to destroy us

She's of the generation that has been fed this lie about livestock farming and climate change !Media are to blame with no counter argument against it .We will all believe it in the end when they have beaten us enough!

Can we ask on the application if they eat meat? Or done for discrimination.

You can't argue with her. She hears nothing we say. Just blanks any counter argument

Always ask them dietary requirements, we mostly end up with Asian students and most can't eat dairy unless they have lactose tablets, our live in the farmhouse with us ,so we need to plan meals👍
Weve a returning student next week for 3 weeks, she's coming in the house.
She loves meat and cakes and it will be a great few weeks.

Without wishing to be overly alarmist, might be worth getting a local professional in to do a digital ‘sweep’ round the place to make sure there are no hidden recording devices left behind.

Not that you have anything to hide, but footage can be easily doctored to suit an agenda

Sad state of affairs but seen it happen before

If I become fb famous for the wrong reasons, then the cows will go and turn the farm into a massive wedding venue/soft play barns.
Cant live life farming in fear.
Feel guilty for pin lifting a cow now.
World deserves to starve
