Any early reports from Longtown today ?
I didn’t think the shearlings looked silly dear compared to breeding sale reports I’ve had. I went to try and buy some strong lambs and ended up buying 60 shearlings ave £178 which in my opinion looked dam good value against the lamb trade where the very best were £200, Tuppers £140-170 and running lambs very little under £130.
To be fair I would think some of the shearling vendors would struggle to buy replacements at a price that would look to leave much margin in the future, but that’s just my humble opinion
