What are peoples thoughts on the best work boots to buy? I go for non steel toe caps, been using timberlands the past year and have been happy with them, what else do people recommend?

Suggest you don't buy Rossi as a substitute for Redbacks, they don't last.
Soles were hanging off one pair before they were worn even, refunded okay, but nonetheless..
The other pair are now parting from the soles after not much wear.

Meindl boots for me.
Got some other simple boots for when I really need steel caps but Meindls cope well with heavy stuff landing on them. Even my Belgian draft standing on them wasn't too bad.

Haix, only take them off to go to bed.😀
Slip on boots give my ankles nightmares

Proper Haix lace up boots which provide support and comfort in abundance

Full safely protection, yet lighter than a pair of trainers. Had mine since two lambings past

There's a reason why armies march in Haix boots!

Go to an outdoor shop and try some walking boots, they really are superb these days. Light as trainers and waterproof, lots of styles to choose from. Get leather ones not the hi-vis "Look at me I'm a rambler" type. Picked some beauties up yesterday they're Brasher.
