Everything is so dry though! It certainly is here!!! I have no idea how there havnt been a lot more fires down here this year considering we are in the third drought of the year, I don’t think any patches of grass or moorland have gone up this year yet, drought to me constitutes 21 days with no rain….

Hopefully you'll be equally as lucky and find someone local on the return journey who's having a wedding tomorrow and would like to buy the bales......and then pay you to remove them a day or so later. :D
I can assure you I don’t have that kind of luck, especially as these are only being hauled across 1 field!

Do you find the Tedd-Air 840 a good match for your mower ? We have Krone just like yours and we're looking for a fresh tedder. I saw a Malone at the Royal Lancs Show and thought it looked a strong machine.
It is a well built machine, yes. I like it. Covers ground so much quicker than the old 4 rotor it replaced. When I first used it, I was doing it without being shown anything and was doing it by the book with the book ... It is really simple to attach, set up, use and pack away again. I think there might be an error in the handbook, but it's nothing major. It's the position of the lever for setting for running round the headlands. I found it worked the opposite way to what it shows in the handbook. C-B-A instead of A-B-C. If you get it wrong, you can either get off and change it, or simply go around the field in the opposite direction. For me it fits well with the mowing machine, but that's down to individual tastes I guess.
We do the tedding by eye, no GPS ;)

Watching the straw balers and then pressing the Grey Menace in to action, to assist with the carting all those bales home afterward. J Connolly Agricultural Contractors of Ainsdale were doing the baling. On Saturday with their New Holland T7-270 and Massey Ferguson 2160 baler. On Sunday they came back to finish the job with their Massey Ferguson 7726 and a twin axled Massey Ferguson 2160 baler.
