Wait what?
I really shouldn't be surprised by JD any more and yet....
There’s nothing to be surprised about, it’s just that the active seat gets confused if the cab is moving.
If they could get both systems to work together and then charge you for it they would wouldn’t they.

Ah yes it gets confused when there's two moving parts but not when there's one..
How do the other manufacturers manage then?
No it's not that they can't it's that they don't want to.

I don't know the details but apparently JD is the only one with a true active seat that is controlled by the tractor, not a standalone seat. I think it has hydraulics but might be wrong.
I do remember that back when it was introduced it was tested and stood head and shoulders above anything else. But then again I think that there where no other actively suspended seats back then.
I have never even sat in one so hey, don't shoot me.

Sure but there's also a lot of manufacturers who has better suspension and active seats, Fendt would be the prime example..

The Evo seat isn’t as good as the Active seat.
I’ve spent months of my life in each.
The 900 series suspension package is better overall but still not as good as the 4000 Fastracs.

Keep in mind that there are two different evo seats and only one of them has active suspension (Evolution Dynamic or Evolution Active).
Obviously a Fastrac would just be cheating

How do they compare otherwise? Every 6250r I see has a weight block on. Might as well have the longer frame machine then?
Yes had to get a bigger weight block as 6250r struggled with the 6 furrow plough.
only done ploughing with it but the driver seems happy even if he’s had to learn command pro, ( he’s well past retiring age).

No they dont make a replacement. I dont see the 250r as a great machine either. 215s tweaked arent bad. But there is massive hole in jd line up. 6rs can be difficult to repair, 7rs absolute junk and 8rs are pretty much a revamped 8030. I cant see where the r&d is getting done now days.

M series here are the shining light for deeres. But they are pricing them off the map and making them complicated as well to what end I'm unsure. A budget tractor getting made into a R series it seems.
Shinning light- at least over here the 6m is dear as poison compared with the blue ones. The local dealer had 140k Aus on a new 6m 140. New holland quoted us less than that for a t6050 elite (160 on boost) with a loader and 50k box. I think the 6m was really outdated with the manual range change box(names slips me) until they have started offering auto power in them. Yes, the New Holland has a manual high/low change but for our use, we never use low range so I find that of no concern Also, the local green dealer question in their customer service our experience.

They are good here. I cant stand vgt problems anymore.

Are there tuners who delete VGT ? In Europe they delete/make them fixed on all turbochargers with electric motor, those hydraulic junks on bigger Rs are still not solved.

I dont know if you ppl know but 6m and 6r air filter boxes are cheap crap and they leak and the engines pretty much slowly dust. Either the lids arent sealing and the outer filter blocks or filters slips up and blocks the inner filter only to suck dust around the inner seals. More apparent on R series or tier 4 engines has higher hp. Its bad.

Deere will SELL you a new box lid but feel its easier to blame customers installing filters incorrectly and slipping a new filter box sub part into stock then admitting there is a problem that can potentially cost lots. Its as bad as ive seen.

Is there a PIP for that ? Should I change the top lid on my 6145R year 2017 ? What is the updated number if you maybe know ?

Thanks

Same problem here in South Africa. You can buy a few sizes up on New Holland and Massey compared to JD price. Dont know what JD's idea is with pricing. They announced another price increase from Oct for the SA market.
