Yesterday at work.
I was manning the whacky whacky machine after this one closed a ditch. Nice toy, tiltrotator with graple. Pretty much all wheeled excavators on building sites have a tiltrotator, the graples are getting more popular to.
Met Two loads on local A road…same loading arrangement with round bakes of straw.
Long Steepish hill…pretty obvious that Sub 100hp tractor with a bit of age was getting down the gears …..no staves on the back, just a single rope slung over the bottom pair.
Smack in the middle of the two bales….the big knot with the Raggy ends where it had been joined up.
Line of cars queued up behind the trailer oblivious of the possibility that the rope could give up under the strain of a not just perfect downward gear change.
