Drilling barley

To dry here to even think about it yet, some places it's a job to get the cultivator in the ground and a lot of stubbles that have been cultivated haven't greened up because of lack of moistire
That’s the problem here.we had a bit of rain the other day that would allow us to plough it now, but waiting for the stubbles to green up will mean ploughing too late to give any grins for a bit of weathering of the heaviest stuff.
So will plough tomorrow, power Harrow once, leave it a fortnight then spray off with low dose before drilling. This way we hope not to caught by a sudden change to wet weather.

See a few putting tardis in the ground. Anyone grown it before?

I tried to source some seed from Wynnstay and they told me that they had already put it all out to their contracted seed producers. They certainly seemed very optimistic about it as a variety, expecting it to be in high demand next year.
Time will tell of course, but it certainly spurred me on to source seed from elsewhere.👍
