Had too be pure or at least 15/16ths beef and 400kg plus too get near 1k. Plus looked too have had plenty of hard feed too flesh them up.
You can add a good few quid on up here to be honest. Although we do hit bad day’s at auctions for one reason or another now and again, usually it’s not difficult to get a beast to £800 when everything is going right.
There’s a bit more demand for cattle and there’s the dreaded other thing which makes a big difference too

I’ve been there myself a few times now. Maybe doesn’t make too much difference now up here unless you are selling breeding stock over the border but it certainly narrows the group of buyers available in all types and over the years has added up to be a big cost against what we sell.
What is worth saying is there’s folks who have made a fortune carting cattle northwards for many years which tells you all you need to know

More than I expected. Happy enough with trade! They’d have too be £300 more in February too leave any more profit I think?
i wish you had stood in the box id know who tou were then! i really like to know who the vendors are.
