Covid Vaccine Roll out.

Thing that gets me is you can still catch Covid and spread it even with the jab. Children are least likely to die from it, so why vaccinate them? Schools will still be disrupted as long as they keep testing for it.
I think anyone over 12 can get it here (Pfizer) but I don't get the school disruption argument they make. Schools disrupted because of the rules the school makes not because children are off sick for weeks on end with the virus.
If you don't want them disrupted stop disrupting them.

So BOBK demands on one hand that everyone has the covid jab to protect him and should not get any NHS treatment if they catch covid and have not had two jabs...

Yet on the other hand BOBK refuses to have the flu jab even thou he is old enough to have it and expects NHS treatment if he gets flu and needs NHS treatment...

You could not make it up if you tried..............................................
Not refusing the flu jab , covid jab is a no brainer if you have one .

You have stated that you will not have the flu jab so you are refusing to have it.

Flu kills anything from 16000 to 58000 people every year in the UK ( with the exception of last year when there were zero flu deaths.... ) so its a no brainer to have the flu jab if you are offered it.

Flu never got established last year with all the measures in place to fight covid. People might get complacent this year and get caught out with it but I still haven't decided myself whether to have it.

Still spoiling any chance of a sensible debate with daft comments. It was probably a flippant remark but it doesn't come over in print.
His comment you mean?
Comparing risk of vaccine deaths to risk of having a cup of tea?
I'm sure the families of those women and others who have died from the vaccine would probably find those comments insensitive

Read it again, he never said that. If they find his comments insensitive they will probably find yours a lot worse.

Figures such as this are just meaningless drivel as it is all purely a guess, what is for sure is that if you have a weakness that means the virus might affect you very badly you are far safer having the vaccine whatever your age!
It's not a guess, they are based on observed reactions to covid and vaccines

For the greater good old fella, the greater good. Where is your and your childrens civic responsibility!!!!!!
If young people continue to catch this virus & spread it around whether or not it infects them badly they will for certain reinfect older people at a time when their vaccines are losing their effectiveness, this will result in hospitals filling up with seriously unwell older people causing an ever increasing backlog of other people’s urgent operations, no easy answer but it does not bode well for the near future if we let this thing rumble on!
