I find them very useful. I think they are best used for storing 'occasional' items rather than everyday stuff.

Fine for bits and pieces but not strong enough for storing a good stock of nuts and bolts. I made wooden pigeon holes for the heavy stuff then use the plastic bins for electrical connectors, a few weird washers and stuff like that.
Someone on eBay does grey plastic storage bins, boxes, racks and all that sort of thing. I got mine from there and they're very good. I'd think it will be one of the top search results.

The problem I find with those bins is that they seem to attract dust like crazy unless you have a very clean workshop...

Mine seem to attract feathers, rock wool insulation pulled out of the roof by sparrows and the odd bird dropping. Expect to find a nest in one someday.

Have had a couple of Robin nests over the years - most annoyingly in the bin of spare lynch pins.
We use the plastic lin bins for nuts and bolts but have them set on wooden shelves , they are handy as you can lift them down to check or top up
