Is it just me or do they not look bloody good value secondhand ? I noticed drew farming life bought one few minor niggles but was blown away with its performance could stop smiling ! Thinking he was felling 30 acre hr ? Worth a punt or bag o shyt ?

We bought a second hand Big X about 10 years ago. Did a brilliant job but took a lot of fettling over winter. Turns out more economical to hire off Ian Wilson, which we discovered after the engine blew up at 2600 hours and neither Merc nor Krone would stand by it.

Oh come on. Surely the manufacturer want to look after people? FFS. IF they had stood up like big boys and looked after a customer by coming to some kind of arrangement then sjt01 would be singing their praises and a customer for life. Short sighted morons.
On older secondhand gear ? I doubt it ?
 
There was a classic tractor magazine(I think could also be a different mag🙄) not that long ago with a article on a contractor who buys old big Ms would be worth finding was a good right up about them

he was going threw the electrics and reconditioning the hydraulic motors himself
