No just thought I would stir the thread into action!
Wouldn’t get a lot for 50p round here now decent blocks that is. looking closer to £1 for well fenced decent quality grass in (shropshire) for winter grazing

No landlord has tack sheep grazing for the money. It's all about the wider holistic benefits the sheep grazing does.

Depends what your system is ,we are all grass , they do a good job though ,i could get more if i wanted , so i suppose you are right in a way

It was 50p around here (North Derbyshire) several years ago, doesn't sound like it's changed much. We'll probably have some this year, aftermath are growing back nicely

I would just like to make the point for anyone visiting this thread for a definitive answer, there are many factors that could make grazing worth well over £1 /hd to actually needing to pay someone to graze.
Factors to consider;
quality of forage
quantity of forage
Size of blocks
management facilities
Fencing
Water
Shepherding
location
Time- when and for how long
Responsibilities for inevitable issues.
The actual figure is probably less relevant than having a suitable arrangement that makes both parties happy.

Very well put. No definitive answer.
Although those who say it’s not worth it money wise. I seem too write out enough cheques in the spring from £5k-£12k for keep? If that’s not worth it too the farmer I wish I was that rich! I know quite a few see the sheep keep money as “holiday spends” but that’s nowt too do with me

And the final point , I've had dairy farmers offer me more than the tack price not to have them if they could have the summer keep as well
I only have them because I think they do the pastures good , I could probs cover £1.50 head if I did not have them as said above
