Sheep Fluke after such a dry year?

We always treat for fluke with triclabendazole before tupping mid October and before ewe lambs head away to wintering this week. Although after such an dry year i was unsure. Vet hasnt found any fluke in bloods. Although expects they will need treating mid november, obviously weather dependent. Would this be wise in the middle of tupping or whats better option? Hope that there good till december?

what has the vet recomended regarding fluke drenching mid tupping i would keep of handling them at such early pregnancy, unless you realy have to leave until december if you can get away with it id say ??

Do any of your lambs go deadweight? I had a lamb 4 weeks ago with fluke on the liver, I treated the ewes 3-4 weeks pre tupping like I normally do, I know with me ewes have had to go well into the rivers and ponds to get water, grazing lower too meaning their more likely to pick up worms and fluke

I’m in the same dilemma,I don’t think they are fluked yet but with all the rain at the moment it won’t be too long.There is a thought especially In naturally watered fields that the sheep go looking for water in places they wouldn’t normally and come across flukes that way.

Yeh, most no fluke in kill sheet yet. Could maybe change next week, after the lambs are away to wintering
