I am a member
Recently did two research “jobs”
Spent 35-60 minutes on a Zoom call and was asked a lot of questions about my opinion
( I have lots of opinions !)

got paid £80 for one and £100 for the second

I think if the Govt and other corporates want farmers opinions then they should pay for them

Will they want small farmers like me ?
I tend to think that organisations like this are only interested i the opinions of large farms not little windowbox farms like me .
You usually get questions like ..How many acres do you farm ? .....I'm sometimes tempted to put a 1 in front of our acreages to see if it makes a difference 1460 acres instead of 460 😊😊

Well the two I’ve done so far haven’t been about me or my farm at all

big business have millions to spend on marketing
They want to be sure that their target audience ( farmers) are going to engage with their marketing

questions like ..... do you like the image of this or that..... why do you like A over B..... what would make B more appealing to you.... etc etc

they aren’t asking what you farm.... they’re asking what you think

mans willing to pay for it

We all enjoy your contributions....I'm sure they would too! Everyone has a different perspective on life.

@Chris F will be able to shed some more light on it too - I'm assuming TFF and Opinion Harvester have done a deal to mailshot TFF members and hopefully get some to sign up. If nothing else, I'm guessing signing up will probably give TFF a small kickback which helps go towards the running of the site.

Yes it was a company that approached us for promotion. Surprised there isn't a thread as well.

Well they do need to make sure that the marketing is targeting the right demographic
No point in someone with 5 acres being put into a survey that is asking about mass tree planting ( for example)

same as no point asking an Estate with 20000 acres about small scale vegetables ?

I believe there are some base questions to answer when you register that allow them to target the right audience for the different surveys.
