I’ve added Limus Clear to my shopping list to make the most of the N I’ve brought, as I’ve been involved in ADAS run trials which have shown a benefit from adding it to UAN to increase nitrogen usage efficiency. I do have some reservations about what it might potentially do to my soil life. But if ever there was a year in my farming career to make what you have go as far as possible this is it!
Limus Clear B'o'B, never heard of it?

If CF are getting subsidised to produce CO2, then presumably they're also producing fert which will come into the marketplace.

@teslacoils might be able to afford that 3rd cut N application.

On the subject of how to apply, I always think front load big doses (on our land). Too many occasions of a dry May when crop couldn't have accessed the N. So depends on location, soil type and unknown weather. Losing a bit of utilisation % from 2 big early doses better than losing most of the availability of small late doses (due to no rain). Great theory of mine until a season of fantastic growing conditions and a flat crop!

what they are producing now is to fill exsjsting orders, still a lot of undelivered product from what I can gather

The gas futures seem to have really pushed on again today which won't help fertiliser prices at all.
I don’t know what a lot these terms mean but it doesn’t sound great.

Jesus play them at their own game, let's reduce n rates and push more legumes in the rotation. They are trying to make us panic buy, look at fuel and bog roll..... And we all called those buyers stupid

I’ve been cleaning tonnes of beans for seed today... but we can’t keep growing beans. Mind, I’m getting old so the problem won’t be there long👍

Did the oil refineries and bog roll factories close tho?? Heard that George Eustice said in Manchester yesterday that the lack of fert may be a good thing for the uk to hit climate action targets. It seems most people couldnt care less about fert other than a small percentage of the population producing food

So by panic buying you are helping how exactly?

Theres a difference between panic buying and having a safety net. As you said less N might mean higher prices, be annoying to have your worst ever yields during the best ever prices. If it was a uk issue I think it would all blow over but it seems a world shortage and Gov are not going to help

Even higher prices and remember the organic boys don't have a total failure because they don't fert, and lower fungicides and blah blah blah
