How do you get it under control? I bought in 40 sheep and isolated them in the shed. Some have develop cloudy blue eyes blinking and watery eye. The vet has treated the problem group but has had to treat two more today. They are improving but more seem to be getting the problem. What do i do apart from separating the infected?

I tried blue spray before and penicilin ointment no affect. The vet inject Alamycin in the muscle and the eyelids on bad cases. Is there no preventing it from the rest?
tetra delta, or the most mastitis cow tube direct onto the eye will work aswell,
you must have strong bug working if theses don't clear it,
could be worth getting it cultured to find out exactly what one your dealing with

I will keep an eye and hope the alamycin is doing its job, if not i will do that. I just feel it is spreading very quickly, only previous case i had was an orphan lamb which i caught before it could spread among the flock.

Out of curiosity, are they on hard feed in the shed, or would they have been fed intensively before they came to you?

They are off the hill for a fortnight now. No feeding just grass, i have them on hay and rushes for bedding. They are welsh mountain sheep.
Thanks for the reply, I was watching a video about nutrition (cattle mostly) but one bit was about excess protein causing issues with mucous membranes, i.e. coughing and pink eye, but doubt it has any relevance for your sheep!
