Food shortages.

Loads of stuff missing in Sainsburys today. So we didn't notice the lack of produce in the fridge section, they filled it with slabs of lager, genius.

Appears they have no problem getting beans from Kenya though (y)

When the chattering class can no longer get Kenyan fine beans and baby sweetcorn Mumsnet will be in meltdown and Boris Johnson will fly back from his hols! So do not fear the RAF have a cargo plane on constant standby at Brize Norton in fearful anticipation.

What's the deal with milk, it's happened a few times recently, no 1 or 2 pinters, only 4's, is there a plastic shortage too?

My goodness Charlie not the full range of pack sizes. Right that's it, if ever proof were needed that this is really a real crisis. Did you check if both 250 and 500ml cream, both full and semi were in stock as further evidence there is a true crisis brewing?

Baffles me if there's no milk or plastic shortage. The different sized containers can't make a huge difference in transport surely?

Simplifies immensely the haulage if have just one pallet of one size to load into back of the fridge wagon. If have to spend time making up split pallets in the RDC (Regional distribution centre) adds time and complexity. Go to Lidl or Aldi. Only get choice of two containers there - if do not like it then pay more go to Sainsburys. These larger multiple retailers have complicated the product lines to the extent it is relatively simple to reduce their cost, labour and time. Just need to recruit Lidl managers.

I did, and I made a fruit crumble the 250ml size will be going on tomorrow.

I may add a sprinkling of sarcasm too :ROFLMAO:

So it's nothing to do with Brexit?

Not a clue Charlie. But goodness most things from what I read and hear are to do with Brexit. Even my in growing toenail is down to Brexit.
They'll be along shortly no doubt. Back to the milk; if you want to simplify, which I agree with, can we have 1's and 2's? It's easy to double up but not to halve!
