mate of mine has a stihl he uses on sawmill to tidy up things works ok
they have come along way sound's like alot of brands will be dropping small sized saws running on petrol just too hard to meet new rules and regs
also the market is more tradies and home users so cordless dose. suit them easy to use. and most cases using the same battery's in other tools or outdoor gear.

for £600 id rather go for a 560xp. ive got several 54v dewalt tools, i tried the chainsaw and cut speed seemed similar to the cordless husky, and about the same as a £200 petrol saw, but not even on the same planet as an XP petrol saw.

What is happening to the human race? Too much effort to pull start a modern petrol chainsaw?? If someone is that frail, can they even hold on to a saw safely? The old boys that felled with axes and hand saws were glad to see those big heavy 100 cc slow chainsaws that first appeared.
Looked at a test of several battery saws on YouTube recently, best all round was an Efco or Echo, but I'd say the cutting performance of all was dismal compared to a petrol proffesional saw.

If you read my opening post you’d see why I want one .
Do you still use a crank to start your motor or tractor? Use the pull cord on a quad ? Probably not because it’s more convenient to press a button to start it .

I’m sure I read somewhere that there seems to be an issue with fossil fuels, or maybe I just dreamed it. 🤔

Petrol saws probably have the advantage of more power to.
