Electricity tariffs/Prices

You and I are in the same boat, we have been with bulb energy for 3 years on a sensible floating tariff, I did look around in the spring but quotes weren't competitive I thought......
Latest prices from bulb day 36p night 20p on a usage of 450kwh/day
Edit................ Sh** Contract never came through, think prices have been pulled, start again on Monday. Not impressed.

Just Phoned NFU energy 024 7669 8885

Quoted 21.59p day 14.94p night 31p standing, 12 months with E ON .Hope I've signed up just waiting for contract by email'
Don't trust my hearing but I got him to repeat twice.

Called British gas who we are currently with to try and beat them down, no movement at all from letter price, see above.

British Gas renewal letter dated 28/08/21 offers 10 % off for online renewals printed in black and white BUT on line renewals turned off.
Says “you are already saving 7% by using direct debit.”
Spoke to Heather at BG who said the DD saving is on top of the offered prices.
Feel like reporting them to trading standards for not keeping to their word re on-line discount.
However it would appear that I can fix for 3 years at 22.419 so I’ll give it a try having copied the offer and sent by recorded delivery.
We shall see.

Good Luck.
Hope they honour it, looks clear enough.

Fortunately we signed a 3 year deal in Feb 21 at 15.31 day, 10.51 night and 48.87 sc for 90% of our supply. We have two other meters which need to be renewed in December but luckily its not much use and will be billed directly to the tenant in those two sheds.

Signed with British Gas via a broker . 1 Year contract

Day 30.44p

Night 22.88p

Standing 34.69p

Not happy, double current price, but had to do something.
I don't believe it ! Prices pulled!

I returned a signed contract yesterday afternoon to broker, got an email with another form to sign lunch time today which I have only just seen, contact the broker to be told too late prices pulled.
I wasn't happy when I returned contract, even less happy now.

If you get a good price, grab it, do deal over phone if possible, get it sealed.
NEVER experienced anything like this in my 40 years running the farm.
Prices about 10p a unit higher than the first offer I got Friday Morning.

Frightening prices on here, am I glad that we signed a 3 yr deal end of sept 20, mainly house so low usage SC 23.25p and about 14p per kWh.

Haven't ordered any fert for next yr yet though ☹️

This thread had me worried, looked up our contract 9.8p/kWh - all times. Fixed until August 2023. I think there is 4-5p/kWh on top of that for renewable levys etc.

Looks like if we had to renew right now, we’d be £20,000 per year worse off minimum.
