It may surprise you if you didn’t already know I actually voted remain but we are where we are so we have to learn to live with it unless things change in the future. I will watch the EU development from a political perspective with great interest

Yea, I’ll bet your relieved not to be 30 though Martin 😂.
Career wise, what amount of future do we need to worry about?🤷‍♂️

Are you coming out to say hello in late November ?

My first venture on Blighty for 5 years, do you still drive on the wrong side of the road?

To be fair there are many in that age group so for me to say “it ‘ain’t my problem is not fair. For sure travelling into Europe now is back to as it was before the customs Union. Regarding trade it is an irony that the goods the UK produce are now in let not acceptable. Protectionism - yes but we chose to be outside the club so there you go! I think global trade is the elephant in the room not the UK/EU relationship. For sure the EU would not want to make things straightforward as they don’t want to risk other nations leaving. Hey ho. Happy days. You’ll have to buy an Alpine now an sell that Escort!

Tbh, this thread seems to me, to be started by @Danllan, to moan about ... erm, winning🤔
No; rather to point out and emphasize that big changes - of whatever sort - take time. This was demonstrably the case when the UK joined the EEC, it is and will be the case in leaving the EU.

EUrophiles were still asserting this obvious truth over a decade after our accession, therefore it seems inconsistent - at the least - for them to refuse when a similar amount of patience is asked of them regarding our secession, wouldn't you agree?

Ah well, folk want instant results these days. football team looses three matches and the manager gets sacked. You knew this though when you voted for change?
By the way, you look like your trying to cover your back😂

It’s done know, it’s a ball ache, I’m 350k out of pocket, but no one in my family has died and even our old dog has just returned from the vet alive so what the hell

No need for any back-covering here! From before the Referendum and since I have said it will take time to shake off and to re-establish the necessary.

I've been entirely consistent about how far the EU had worked / been allowed to work itself in to our system and the time needed to recover from it. It was the Remainers who at first claimed the EU wasn't pervasive so was nothing to worry about, and then later claimed it was so much an integral thing that we couldn't safely leave it... :banghead: :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, back in the real world, glad for your good news; the worst thing about dogs is that they go so soon - not ashamed to admit that I cry like a girl when mine do...

FFS, facing into the easiest deal in history, whilst holding all the cards, you need decades to deliver. With all the cards, I would have drastically higher expectations.
In fact, I’d expect to have a couple dozen global trade desks by now, and CONZUK the envy of the world.
Your belated revisionism cuts no ice I’m afraid.

Give time for what to happen, exactly? Brexit is a solution looking for a problem.

So you think the general public should just put up with Politicians and Directors destroying our jobs, culture and way of life ?

You're lucky that a political solution is being enacted.

TBH I don't like the fact Visa's are being used to enact EU policy. I really am sick to death of the destruction of UK jobs by self serving strokers - and to think a lot of those on the left who are only to happy to talk about the "Working Man". I have never seen such a bunch of hypocritical @rsholes.

What solution is being enacted ?

there has been 2 elections since the brexit vote and at each election a bigger shower of imbeciles got elected than the last one.

I don’t see anything changing, still picking fights and blaming the eu for there own incompetence and a compliant client media going along with it.

just look at what happened last week, a bunch of northern Irish shopkeepers got far more concessions from the Eu than the unelected Lord Frost and his team managed in years.

Meanwhile back at the castle, Boris has decreed that EU butchers are now needed to keep the starving natives from swarming the ramparts.
Having tried and failed to lure the EU truck drivers, the dear leader assumes the butchers will be an easier catch. Why, is anyone’s guess.

So where are we now? No truckers! No bar staff! No restaurant staff! No farm labourers! No butchers! No nurses (never had those)!

Merry Christmas in the Sunny Uplands.
not only us!
