lost me again :ROFLMAO:
:ROFLMAO: I might be able to explain myself better in the morning ;)

It seems to me that making these pork pies taste like pork pies to save the environment is actually using more resources, and ingredients, than actually making a pork pie. If you think veg only is a better alternative for your health and that is your thing, then just steam a few vegetables.

I was always told it's actually the pastry that's not that great for you anyway?

I'm probably out of my league, hence staying out of Agricultural Matters, thanks for engaging anyway.

If you don’t want to eat meat then that is a personal choice, just eat vegetables, why make them look like something that you choose not to eat in the first place? I suppose it could be down to a lack of meat protein reducing brain power resulting in the warped thinking than many vegans have.

It's a mind trick surely? You are quite right in what you say

I guess there's a couple of things going on:
- Putting all those ingredients in a 'pork pie' is a way of telling/kidding folks that they are getting everything they need for a balanced diet, in a convenient way.
- More sinister, it's part of a calculated campaign to hyjack words like 'meat' and 'pork pie', with the end game being that the consumer ends up disassociating animal agriculture with those words.
