Passed one of the black Larringtons this morning. Trailer front offside wheel caved in, white SEAT facing the wrong way with o/s front damage.

3 ambulance's and 2 police cars in attendance, however I'm told all were OK.

It's getting silly round here, the damage, driving on phones, cutting up cars.
Lee's carting in one direction, O J Neils carting it the other way!

Sleepy maybe? Heard stories of some pretty extreme working hours, due to staff shortages, being not that uncommon this year at a meeting this morning.
The deal that was being offered to contractors here in NI to supply Tractors and trailers was £25 an hour plus diesel per tractor and trailer. Three drivers for two tractors 16 hrs on 8 hrs off staggered running 24hrs per day.

Wouldn't take much to sort it, pull everything with a maize trailer, weigh it and inspect it, hand out tickets for 50 kph and keep doing it until they behave.
I saw it here with spud trucks, there used to be some junk on the road at storage time, overweight, defects, speeding etc. The commercial cops just set up checkpoints and pulled every truck. Any with problems got pulled on sight until they were legal. It completely changed the mindset with the bosses.
Funny how a desk full of fines concentrates the mind :ROFLMAO:

Same story the world over, there's always some mug that will do it cheaper.
Who pays accommodation and food etc?

That is the worry round here, one day DVSA (who are self funding) will cotton on and start pulling all tractors.
