Has anyone noticed their tractors running better after 8pm in summer when air cools..... a local contractor said this earlier tonight
Thats just so u can see the beacons, will also burn bit less fuelAir is cooler at night certainly made a difference when silaging.
Mostly when it goes dark here some contractors come alive when the lights go on.

Sure a box of regal and red bull sorts thatCooler air will help performance but the biggest benefits are less distractions and easier to pull out onto roads. Big drawback is the tiredness.
Seems to be what they use round here anyway, I stopped smoking 20 years ago, and my best mate drank red bull till it rotted the guts out of him with stomach ulcers.Sure a box of regal and red bull sorts that
I think you/he was right.Back in my teens I did a lot of hitch hiking. One old boy picked me up and claimed to be an inventor. He said that "water gas" added to fuel made it more efficient. He claimed that motors ran better in the evening because of the moisture in the air. He had invented a gadget to introduced water vapour into the fuel in a carburetor. I haven't a clue whether that is correct or not but I've remembered that old boy for nearly 50 years! Who knows? He reckoned nobody would take up his invention because they'd sell less fuel!

Yes probably right some old engines put water in combustion process some how . And some tractor pullers inject water in to the engine for better combustion or to stop them melting or somethingBack in my teens I did a lot of hitch hiking. Would water gas be hydrogen? Garage near us used to do an add on to improve fuel usage. Was a system making hydrogen from water and adding the gas into the inlet manifoldBack in my teens I did a lot of hitch hiking. One old boy picked me up and claimed to be an inventor. No it only injected water spray into the intercooler on the turboFew years back, one of my brothers owned a Subaru WRX STI. Proper quick that was, it had a system for injecting water into the fuel/air mixture.
